National Security Initiatives, Constantly Supported by Leviatan Design

Leviatan Design continues to support national security initiatives, offering its support this year as well for organizing the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum event and for launching a book of significant importance for the current international context.

The seventh edition of the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum took place between May 18-19, 2023, organized by the New Strategy Center think tank, in partnership with the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense of Romania, and NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division.

Over time, the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum has become the most relevant security event in the Black Sea extended region, creating an appropriate framework for debates on the most urgent and critical issues in the fields of defense, security, and international relations.

At this year’s edition of the event, discussions focused on topics such as the reconstruction of Ukraine, current security issues in the Black Sea region, and Europe’s energy independence.

Among the guests of this event were Nicolae Ciucă, the Prime Minister of Romania, Dorin Recean, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, as well as NATO leaders and other European security leaders.

Leviatan Design, Main Partner at the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum 2023

Leviatan Design supported the organization of the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum as a main partner, and Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Design, attended the event and spoke at the Ukraine Reconstruction panel. The greatest project of the Western world since World War II.

“Participating in the reconstruction of Ukraine, especially as a neighbor, with such a large border, I believe is a moral imperative, but I also believe it’s a pragmatic approach, because we want this country to revive, to adhere to European values, and to be a partner in this common front,” declared Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Design.

Furthermore, in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction, Cătălin Podaru highlighted the importance of creating more working groups, in which Romanian construction companies can concretely discuss what needs to be done at present. Moreover, Cătălin Podaru emphasized that there are already countries engaged in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Through its collaborations with strategic partners, Leviatan Design tries to assist NGOs in Ukraine, to better understand the context and to answer all questions regarding the procurement and construction process in the neighboring country.

Economy, Strategy, and Culture in International Relations,” written by Mirko Mussetti, Italian political analyst and publicist, approaches geopolitics from a theoretical, historical perspective and contributes to a better understanding of the current challenges we face.

The book launch event took place on May 17, 2023, in the building of the Rectorate of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, and among the participants were Mirko Mussetti, the author of the volume, His Excellency Mr. Alfredo Maria Durante Mangoni, the Ambassador of Italy to Romania, Simona Cojocaru, State Secretary at the Ministry of National Defense, and Iulian Fota, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Leviatan Design was honored to contribute, for the third year in a row, to the publication of works such as “The Geopolitical Rose. Economy, Strategy, and Culture in International Relations” in Romania, considering that the strategic analysis of the international security environment offered by world-renowned authors is extremely useful to Romanian society.
