Leviatan Design has successfully completed a new project in the field of security and defense, which involved the design of a pavilion to ensure the smooth running of administrative activities within the Borcea Air Base 86.
The administrative pavilion designed by Leviatan Design consists of a single building with a height regime of B + G + 2F and a usable area of approximately 6,500 sqm. The pavilion includes conference and meeting rooms, offices, technical spaces, sanitary groups, and other spaces for daily activities.
The building designed by Leviatan Design will have a double-skin facade, with architectural elements made of expanded sheet metal panels, which serve both as shading and visual filters.
The use of BIM methodology allowed our specialists to achieve a high level of quality in the design process and to complete this project in a record time of only 80 days, which is why the execution stage has so far proceeded faster than the assumed term.
Borcea Air Base 86 is currently undergoing a process of modernization and extension of the existing infrastructure, where specific military activities are carried out, involving both the Romanian Armed Forces and troops of other NATO member states.
The works at the administrative pavilion continue the investments for the modernization of the military base, which were started a few years ago and are proceeding at a sustained pace.
Leviatan Design has significant experience in developing strategic infrastructure, with two of the largest projects in the field of security and defense in Romania, in Câmpia Turzii and Sibiu, currently underway.
The project carried out by Leviatan Design was also presented in the Pro Patria broadcast on July 1, produced by the Romanian Army Media, which can be watched at this link: (from minute 3:24).
