The Leviatan Traveler sets sail again in 2026

The Leviatan Traveler, the spirit of adventure embodied by the Leviatan team, returns to the forefront in 2026, bringing renewed attention to the role of travel as an experience that shapes perspectives, ideas, and ways of working.

Following the success of previous editions, it gains fresh energy while retaining the same desire to explore the unknown and discover the world’s diversity.

At the heart of the Leviatan Traveler lies the belief that experiences beyond the office, whether urban explorations, natural landscapes, or cultural encounters, enrich the way we think and work together. It’s not just about distances traveled or destinations checked off, but about how every step outside the daily routine broadens our horizons and helps shape an agile team, open to new challenges.

In addition, month after month, Leviatan Design encourages our team’s spirit of adventure by offering a wide range of flexible benefits on the Edenred Benefit platform, including vacation vouchers.

Over time, the Leviatan Traveler has shown that growth happens when we accept challenges and dare to embrace the unknown, turning our travels into a source of ideas, innovation, and performance in the company’s projects. We focus attention on the role of travel as an experience that shapes perspectives, ideas, and ways of working.

In 2026, its return marks a new chapter, in which we will discover memorable destinations designed to stimulate creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking. Each experience thus becomes a personal contribution to the company’s ongoing evolution.

Adventure encourages exploration and the creative energy of the Leviatan Design team

Driven by a desire to engage colleagues further and cultivate a passion for knowledge and exploration, Leviatan Design is launching a new internal competition in 2026.

Through this initiative, we will foster environments that support expressiveness, imagination, and personal development, helping to strengthen a sense of belonging and motivation within a professional environment focused on performance and continuous growth.

Travel Journal – Stage 1

In the winter, I wrote the first chapter of the 2026 edition during vacations in Rucăr and Sinaia, where the snow-capped mountains provided the perfect backdrop for the adventure to begin. Following that, I embarked on a Scandinavian adventure that took me to Copenhagen, where I enjoyed a leisurely walk along Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets. The journey also included a visit to Malmö, where the serene atmosphere blossomed as a canal flowed alongside a lighthouse watching over it. Also, during this stage, the Leviatan Traveler stopped in Rome, in front of the imposing Colosseum. The winner of the first stage is Irina, Contract Implementation Engineer, who sent us photos from her vacation in Rome, a city where architecture and history meet at every turn. The contest prize, a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, will accompany her on her next adventures.

Travel Journal – Stage 2

Italy remained on the Leviatan Traveler’s map during the second stage as well. It wandered the streets of Bologna and then arrived in Florence, where the Ponte Vecchio, with its shops suspended over the Arno, preserves the atmosphere of the city that gave the world the Renaissance. The Italian leg ended at the Vatican, in St. Peter’s Square, where architecture reaches one of its most grandiose forms. The journey continued through Central Europe, to Bratislava, with its old town clustered at the foot of the castle, and to Budapest, where the Danube both divides and unites the city’s two halves. Giulia, a Construction Design Engineer, is the winner of this stage. Her photos, taken during evenings spent in Italy, captured exactly what makes this country an unforgettable destination and earned her a pair of shoes personalised with the Leviatan Traveler logo.

Travel Journal – Stage 3

The third stage took the Leviatan traveler across two continents. The first stop was Tokyo, where Shibuya Crossing, with its giant neon signs and waves of people, offered an unparalleled sight. The journey then continued to Poland, to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, an entire world carved out of salt, hidden hundreds of meters underground. Next came the French Riviera, where from the heights of the medieval village of Èze, the Mediterranean Sea stretches blue to the horizon, and Bellagio, with its colorful buildings reflected in the waters of Lake Como. The French Riviera also provided the winner of this stage: Mădălina, a Settlement Engineer, whose photos transported us to this fairy-tale setting and earned her the coveted prize.

Travel Journal – Stage 4

In the fourth stage, the Leviatan Traveler returned to the shores of Lake Como, then crossed the Danube to Lovech, the Bulgarian city known for its covered bridge, one of the few of its kind in Europe. Summer also brought journeys closer to home, along the Romanian coast to Mamaia and Năvodari, before the route headed north to Edinburgh, where the castle perched on a volcanic rock watches over the centuries-old city. The winner of the fourth stage is Irina, an architect, who took us on a stroll through the orange groves of Valencia and amazed us with the futuristic architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, reminding us that a successful vacation also means a cold sangria, enjoyed by the sea.

Travel Journal – Stage 5

In the fifth stage, the Leviatan Traveler first stopped in Milan, where the Duomo, with its white marble spires, overlooks the central square, and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II retains the elegance of bygone eras. From there, the route descended toward the Black Sea, to Constanța, where the silhouette of the Casino on the seafront lends charm to evening strolls. The winner of this stage is Tamara, a Recruitment Specialist, who took us through the peaks of Cheile Grădiștei, with its green meadows, crisp mountain air, and views stretching toward the Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului, reminding us that sometimes the most beautiful getaways are just a few hours from home.

Travel Journal – Stage 6

The sixth stage began on the roads of the Doftana Valley, with its forests and tranquil waters, making this area one of the most popular weekend getaways. The route continued along the Via Transilvanica, the road that crosses Romania from Putna to Drobeta-Turnu Severin and connects, kilometer by kilometer, villages, monasteries, and landscapes that tell the story of several worlds situated side by side. The winner of the sixth stage is Ioana, an architect, who stayed within Romania and took us through the Doftana Valley, along the banks of the Paltinu Dam, and all the way to Peleș Castle. Her photos, with fresh mountain air and fairy-tale views, reminded us that a successful getaway can begin just a few hours from home.

Travel Journal – Stage 7

The seventh stage offered the greatest variety of destinations. The journey began on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, in Alanya, with its citadel perched on a promontory overlooking the sea, and in Side, where the Temple of Apollo still stands with its columns right at the water’s edge. Here, in Belek, the expansive beaches and pine groves completed the picture of a long summer. The journey then headed north to Greece, to Kavala, a port city with its Venetian aqueduct and houses clustered on the hillside, and returned to Crete, to Agios Nikolaos and Stalida, before reaching Halkidiki, where the three peninsulas form one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful coastlines. Across the ocean, the Leviatan Traveler reached Peru, visiting Machu Picchu, the Inca city suspended among the mountains; Rainbow Mountain, with its colorful layers of minerals at an altitude of over 5,000 meters; and the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world.

Travel Journal – Stage 8

The eighth stage took place entirely within Romania. The Leviatan Traveler set out from the coast, from Costinești and Tuzla, where the lighthouse built at the beginning of the last century stands as one of the oldest landmarks on the Romanian coast, and then returned to Mamaia, on the strip of land between the sea and Lake Siutghiol. The route continued inland, into the Vâlcea Subcarpathians, with hills and orchards rising gently toward the mountains, and along the shore of Lake Dăești, a peaceful stopover on the Olt River. The final part of the route descended underground and through rock at the Bănița Gorges and Bolii Cave, where the river has carved a natural tunnel through the limestone mountain. The winner of the eighth stage is Alina, an economist, who climbed the country’s most spectacular mountain trails. Her photos from Cheile Băniței and Bolii Cave, from Parâng, and from Transalpina, Romania’s highest highway, reminded us just how much our country has to offer to those who choose to explore it.
