The constant desire for knowledge and development drives us to explore new horizons, find new sources of inspiration, and improve everything we do. This is how the Leviatan Traveler’s story started in 2022, reflecting our spirit of adventure and how travel experiences contribute to the evolution of our team.
Our passion for exploring the world motivates us to step out of our comfort zone, innovate, and develop large-scale projects using cutting-edge technologies adapted to meet the needs of current and future generations.
Traveling significantly impacts our team’s performance, enhancing our ability to respond effectively to professional challenges. Furthermore, traveling allows our team members to discover best practices from other countries and adapt and integrate them according to the specific needs of their projects.
Leviatan Traveler’s adventures
The Leviatan Traveler journeyed more than 44,000 km in 2022 and discovered many fascinating places in France, Slovakia, the United States, and other countries. In Paris, the capital of France, he admired the beauty of the Seine River’s banks and the Arc de Triomphe, designed by architect Jean-François Chalgrin. Salt Lake City, one of the cities that Leviatan Traveler visited in the United States, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, surprised him with its spectacular scenery and rich cultural heritage. In Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, he was struck by the city’s panorama from the observation deck of the New Bridge, 95 meters above sea level. From there, he admired the architecture of the houses, the imposing Danube, and the Bratislava Castle.
In 2023, the Leviatan Traveler covered over 75,000 km, exploring new lands and enjoying unique experiences. Denmark, Spain, and Saudi Arabia are just three of the numerous destinations he has seen over the past year. In Denmark, he visited cities such as Copenhagen and Helsingør, where he admired Kronborg Castle, the setting of William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. In Spain, he created unforgettable memories after visiting Barcelona, where he was impressed by Antoni Gaudi’s visionary architecture, as reflected in famous works such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, and Park Guell. In Saudi Arabia, he explored the city of Al Majma’ah and the country’s capital, Riyadh, where he climbed the Kingdom Centre skyscraper to the 99th floor and witnessed a spectacular view.
In early 2024, the Leviatan Traveler visited the cold land of Iceland, where he was delighted to see the country’s tallest church, Hallgrimskirkja, designed by architect Gudjon Samuelsson. From the land of elf legends, he then traveled to Dubai, where he climbed to the 125th floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, in less than two minutes.
Discovering the world’s architectural diversity fuels our curiosity and creative spirit. That’s why we continue to explore unique destinations and share remarkable stories and moments from our journeys. In doing so, we contribute to an inspiring and uplifting work environment and add value to all our projects.
Travel and Win, one of our internal competitions that supports the team’s creative energy
The Travel and Win competition offer unique rewards. It was launched to support our team’s passion for knowledge and to open a broader range of experiences.
Alexandru, a Plumbing Design Engineer, surprised us along the way with the photos and videos he took during his travels. Thus, he received the popular prize of a two-night stay in Sinaia. Then, the Travel and Win competition was officially launched.
“It is a great joy to share the places I have visited with my colleagues. I was pleasantly surprised to receive this award from the company and to have a new traveling experience,” confessed Alexandru.
Antonio, Marketing Specialist, won the first edition of the competition after shooting a spectacular video with his drone in Alexandroupolis, Greece. In doing so, he received a 700 lei voucher at Decathlon.
Sorana, our colleague who also works in the Marketing Department, won the second edition of the competition after submitting a video she shot in Sibiu. She was awarded a 700 lei voucher for SportGuru.
“I can say that every contest edition is a joy within the company. I won this prize in the first part of the year after showing my colleagues some special moments I spent with my children in Sibiu during the winter holidays. I was happy to buy new hiking gear from SportGuru with the voucher I won,” said Sorana.
Giulia, Construction Design Engineer in the Structural Engineering Office, invited us to discover fairytale lands after sharing a video she made in Iceland. She won the competition’s third edition and was awarded a unique weekend at the Moon Resort in Bușteni.
“The trip to Moon Resorts was unforgettable and the perfect weather allowed us to do two mountain trails in one weekend. The prize included a dinner at the Cantacuzino Castle restaurant, where the elegant ambiance and historic scenery transformed the dining experience into a fairytale,” Giulia told us.
Monica, Construction Design Engineer, was awarded a complete experience at Porumbacu Treehouse in Sibiu County after winning the fourth edition of the competition with a video highlighting the charm of several tourist attractions in Barcelona.
The story of Leviatan Traveler continues. We will continue to explore the world, innovate, and integrate state-of-the-art practices into Romanian construction projects.
