Three top specialists from Leviatan Design explained how current uncertainties in the construction sector can be counteracted, at the conference “Construction – The Engine of the Economy in 2023.”
The event took place on February 9, 2023, and was organized by eDevize. The conference discussed numerous current topics, such as the uncertainties about the workforce and the prices of construction materials, economic trends in this market, digitalization of construction sites, and the specific needs of this industry.
Macro-Level Perspectives on the Construction Market
Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Design, presented in the first panel discussion a series of macro-level perspectives on the construction market. These included the challenge of absorbing funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and infrastructure investments in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction, human capital versus artificial intelligence, revolutionary technologies in construction, new models in making major investments and sustainable project development from an ideal to a profitable business model, and improving the quality of life in the long term.
The use of artificial intelligence and new technologies in the workflow is one of the solutions identified by Cătălin Podaru to successfully combat current uncertainties in the construction field. “AI will radically improve productivity across all segments, from contracting, procurement, document generation, project integration, to quantity lists and estimates. In the second panel discussion, Gabriel Marcu, Chief Technical Officer at Leviatan Design, explained how to correctly assess and offer in construction, in the current context.
