National security innovations, supported by Leviatan Design for the third consecutive year, at the PatriotFest Gala

On January 16, 2024, the sixth edition of the PatriotFest Gala took place, where the most innovative functional prototypes in the field of national security were awarded.

PatriotFest, a project initiated as a result of the partnership between the Ministry of National Defence (MApN), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), the Special Telecommunications Service (STS), the Protection and Guard Service (SPP), and the New Strategy Center – NSC, benefited this year as well from the support of our company, which continues to thus support Romanian innovations.

“Among all the projects in which we have the opportunity and honor to participate alongside New Strategy Center, PatriotFest is the event closest to Leviatan’s identity, because it is focused on innovation and embracing technology,” stated Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Design.

During the event, Cătălin Podaru awarded the second prize in the Creativity in Security category to Mr. Ion Mocanu, for the project “Biosensor for vital signs monitoring.”

The solution proposed by Mr. Mocanu consists of a medical hardware biosensor, which can be quickly attached to a person’s chest, to remotely transmit, in real time, vital parameters such as ECG, HR, RR, Spo2, and temperature.

The device is a medical-grade instrument and offers the possibility of continuous monitoring, allowing its use in teleconsultation or monitoring during training. The absence of connecting wires and the autonomy of 14 days of continuous operation are two of the major advantages of the device.

The other awards that were presented at the event were as follows:

  • the edition’s prize, awarded to Mr. Andrei Petreanu and Mr. Șerban Bogdan, for the project “CortexHub”;
  • the first prize in the Creativity for Security category, awarded to Mr. Laurențiu Niță and Mrs. Diana Nițescu, for the project “Quantum Odyssey”;
