A new internship stage has been successfully completed within Leviatan Design and Ubitech Constructions companies.
Under the guidance of specialists from the two companies, 5 students from the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest – UTCB attended the Internship program, from August 8, 2022, to October 7, 2022.
“I believe that the internship program is an extension of the university. Students come with a lot of knowledge, but they are a bit skeptical. They don’t know or maybe they don’t realize how many opportunities the construction field has. They come, maybe, only with the idea of designing and realize that designing means much more than doing some calculations and delivering some drawings. Even in this design process, we tried to introduce them in the early stages, and later in the development of the written part and in collaboration with other specialties, just to give students confidence”, said Maria Văsi, Head of Structural Engineering Office & BIM Implementation Manager at Leviatan Design.
Elisa Mariana Lisenchi, Gabriela-Giulia Mocanu, Constantin Teodor Cojocaru, Andreea-Gabriela Ion and Cristian Chirițoiu are the 5 students who were involved throughout the internship stage and chose to continue with a paid Internship at Leviatan Design and Ubitech Constructions.
Thus, Elisa, Giulia, Teo, Andreea and Cristian familiarized themselves with innovative working methods and had the opportunity to use modern technologies, used in the development of sustainable projects. In this way, students had the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of construction.
“At the end we give students a closing form, to see their evolution and progress. I was happy to hear that they all felt like they were part of the team. This was also our goal”, concluded Maria Vasi, Head of Structural Engineering Office & BIM Implementation Manager at Leviatan Design.
Leviatan Design and Ubitech Constructions actively involve in supporting the academic environment and thus offer future engineers the opportunity to find out the advantages presented by jobs in the construction field, in the context of digitization and technologization of the construction process.
By creating a new Constructiv podcast, we joined the effort of the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest – UTCB to promote the advantages that students have when following internship stages, as well as the opportunities they have upon graduation from the university.
