Apart from the design software used by most specialists to develop the best solutions, Leviatan Design uses its own automated processes and software modules, specifically designed by experts to digitize corporate processes. Autodesk Construction Cloud applications alongside BIM360 and all of its sub-functions (checklist, daily logs, construction material approval sheets, mark-ups, issue management) and software (e.g. Remote Assistance and Visual Live), or software integrated into other equipment, contribute to our development and implementation of the Digital Twin concept. BIM is an intelligent data processing model that connects architects to engineers and builders to help them get in line over their own building plans. In this way, the model evolves immediately as team members contribute to each other’s work, thereby streamlining the process and increasing efficiency.
BIM also helps in solving problems in the design and planning stages of a project, automating the detection of problems and providing a complete overview of the project. BIM generates a 3D model of the project, based on its physical and functional characteristics, and provides information about each element of the project. Also, if one element of a plan gets changed, BIM simulates how that change impacts the other plans.
Moreover, BIM generates a detailed cost report and informs the decision-making process throughout the project development. How do we use Virtual Reality in our design activities?
Mixed Reality technology using Hololens2 glasses, both in the design and execution activities. It brings the 3D model on the very site, mixing virtual reality and augmented reality together. This model is accessible to all specialists in the office and to the client, for an immersive visualization and a better understanding of the project.
This incredible possibility, facilitated by technological progress, allows the design team and the client to get a clear and realistic overview of the final project. In practice, the 3D model is loaded into the Hololens software, the user runs it on the Hololens headset; holograms of the 3D model are projected on the glasses, and depending on specialty and depending on where the glasses are used (in the office or on the site), the project’s details can be seen as if they were real (architecture, structures, systems). This is how users can walk around the building, see the interior design, the partitioning, the layouts of pipelines; most importantly, clients can provide feedback to the design teams.
