Prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal in Brașov
Interior and exterior fittings, facade renovations and roof replacement of the buildings.
On the site, there are 5 buildings which are part of the national historic buildings heritage.
Among the 5 existing bodies, the most representative and oldest is the C1 body, dating from the 1920-1923 period, at the beginning of the interwar period.
Given the history of these buildings, the rehabilitation solutions proposed by our design engineers were:
- Repairing cracks in the colored mosaic followed by grinding and waterproofing;
- Interior insulation of exterior walls;
- Rebuilding the ceilings;
- Refurbishing or replacing, where necessary, interior doors;
- Replacing interior windows;
- Insulating the attic;
- Repairing decorative plaster, maintaining the existing colors on the facades;
- Refurbishing, repairing and cleaning window frames and decorative elements on the facades, as applicable;
- Replacing the bituminous shingle roof with ceramic tile, scale type;
- Replacing the rainwater collection system with new gutters and downspouts;
- Solving the infiltration problem;
- Changing the exterior joinery;
- Dismantling the pavement of the entire yard and arranging with concrete slabs;
Functionally, certain enclosures were re-compartmentalized and took over other functions than the ones they held.
